The Top Contenders For the 2013-14 NHL Jack Adams Award

Online bettors at BetOnline.ag love to bet on the Jack Adams Award every NHL season because you never know who will win. This is the most unpredictable prize in the NHL, and every year there is a debate about who wins. Last season, the Jack Adams Award was presented to Ottawa Senator Paul McLean, and screams of horror were heard even in Montreal. McLean may not be at his best this season as his team is weak. But there are many other candidates who should receive this award.

Bruce Boudreau - Anaheim Ducks

Two seasons ago, Bruce Boudreau was fired by the Washington Capitals and then hired by the Anaheim Ducks the same week. People who used the www.betonline.ag/sportsbook page questioned this decision as Washington was considered a talented team that had not won a single game under Boudreau. Boudreau's first two seasons in Anaheim were tough, but he turned things around and this season has been a masterpiece. Boudreau used his lineup to perfection and put together one of the best regular season campaigns the Ducks have seen in years.

Patrick Roy - Colorado Avalanche

Seriously, is there anything in the NHL that this guy can't? Landslides in Colorado have been devastating for years. Patrick Roy shows up and his team is one of the best in the Western Conference. As expected, Roy had a positive impact on goalkeeper Semyon Varlamov. But the way Roy raises the level of the game for other players is impressive.

Joel Quinville - Chicago Blackhawks

How much more does Chicago's Joel Quinville need to do to be recognized as the best coach in the NHL? For the third straight season, his Blackhawks have been ranked among the top two teams in the NHL, and he won two Stanley Cups with the Blackhawks. I know playoff results don't count towards the Jack Adams award, but this guy has been so good for so long that the league takes credit for this performance and calls it true leadership work.

Ken Hitchcock - St. Louis Blues

Ken Hitchcock won the Adams Award two seasons ago for changing the organization of St. Petersburg. Louis becomes downright sad and makes him the winner. But now that he's managed to maintain that success over the past two seasons, it's time to thank Hitchcock once again for inviting St. Petersburg. Louis returns to the hearts of NHL fans as a championship team. It's been so long since St. Louis was named the winner, so the person who orchestrated this change certainly deserves to be recognized for their work again.
