Monday August 5
Inter finished the match with nine men, so of course we should be happy with the draw, but there were a lot of controversial decisions in favor of the referees of the home team.
New England conceded a goal in the first two minutes (and that was a real gift) and dominated the remaining 92 minutes or so, but couldn't put the ball in the net, another night as they went 3-4. . There aren't many of them, as you can see from the highlights below, and we'll be refunding those within the next week or two.
I didn't find anything that interested me today, but the Capital One Cup matches tomorrow look promising and I will personally be actively involved in them and possibly the Champions League matches as well. I will email you later at 11am (UK) as at least two games will include games where the team I intend to support will change their lineup and I hope the bookmakers/general public realize this is a misreading. As a weak point and I want all early price exchanges to take effect.
Since we don't have a lot of time, I can say a few words over the weekend about how long-term solutions work….
Bolton Wanderers
Wanderers narrowly earned a point in a typical Northwest derby at Turf Moor. The hosts took the lead in the first half, but I had a feeling after the break that Bolton would win and Friedman suggested Ngog and Davies would try to get the three points, but that didn't happen. Pickford (in particular) and Lee and Witter seemed a bit out of touch with reality, and we didn't see any improvement from Moretz.

Brentford
Brentford took the lead and quickly equalized. The Bees dominated the game and had many chances after the break, no frame and good defense, if they played that way away from home all season they could potentially be champions. The easiest way to describe the event is the comments from the Port Vale fan forum...
Those who say there is no difference between League 1 and League 2 should be there. Brentford kept the ball well and had two excellent goals.
I'm a huge Brentford fan and don't think we'll see many big VP teams in the league.
I really liked Brentford. They were organised, they always seemed to be one step ahead of us at times, and very dangerous on the downtime.
Good learning curve today against very good opponents and you can definitely see an improvement in quality in the division.
Very happy with the result. Brentford is below the league bar this season and it shows. Their possession was excellent, which is something we must learn from them.
I should be happy with that against a very good team that will be in or out for the rest of the season.
How many times have they followed us into threatening situations?
They were much better than us. get points.
Overall, it's a very good moment against a very good team.
These are roughly the first 30 fan reviews for the game. When rival fans praise a team you know have done well, and if it's diverse, the quality obviously stands out. . More bees are coming.

Colchester United
United opened with a 1-0 win over newly promoted Gillingham. It was impressive that none of the Pope, Olivumi and Watt were in the starting lineup and the hosts had chances to win but Dixon looked very good at his start and could be a great addition and Walker will never lose and with Eastmond the trio seem to be in a class of their own. . With tired legs from both teams, United just sat on the bench (which they had a lot of... see pre-season preview) and Dray Wright (who secured victory) and Gilby changed the game. Good win, two interesting players off the bench and three others who didn't play at all (Watt was injured) Incredibly promising 5.50 win or loss in first half score I know many of you got it right (what a big surprise I had) The price was a joke!
Fleetwood City
After taking a 2-0 lead late in the first half and then hitting the brakes to get the daggers back into the game, the head coach felt his team was disrespecting the guests and giving them too much space. The team had a tough break and was more disciplined in the second half. Maybe it was a bit tough with seven guys and the whole defense was coming up for the first time and they were going to get better. John Barkin was injured and did not appear.

Oxford United
United won 4-1 at Portsmouth and were very happy to send their huge support (maybe as high as 2,800) to their home ground. Alfie Potter scored twice and provided assists while Dave Kitson, David Hunt and Tom Newey made their club debuts. Potter is said to be "unplayable," but Kitson's overall contribution, who has worked incredibly hard, says more. Then, clearly believing in the project, he was forced to play head-to-head with Simon Ferry and kicked him out of the game. Portsmouth were weak players, somewhat weak defense and lacked creativity so I won't go into details now, but Chris Wilder won the tactical battle by a larger margin than his team, and the signs are good for both. To a lesser extent, notes by Pompey and Guy Whittingham.
